Multi-Zone System Installation in Toronto & Surrounding Areas

A ductless multi-zone system puts an individually controlled indoor head in each room, all connected to a single outdoor condenser, so no ductwork is required. Lloyd HVAC installs these multi-head mini-split systems across Toronto for older homes, finished basements, additions, and rooms an existing furnace or AC never reaches well. Each head has its own thermostat, giving every space independent heating and cooling on one efficient outdoor unit.

Already have working ductwork and only need per-room control? Consider zone damper installation.

What We Offer

We size and install two-to-five-head ductless multi-zone systems, mounting wall or ceiling-cassette units where they serve each room best and running refrigerant lines cleanly to one outdoor condenser. Installation covers electrical, condensate, mounting, and commissioning, plus per-room remote or wall controls. It is the right fit when adding ducts is impractical. Frequently Asked Questions About Multi-Zone System Installation

How many zones can a multi-zone system support?

Most residential multi-zone systems support 2-5 indoor zones from a single outdoor unit. Larger homes may use multiple outdoor units for additional zones.

How much does a multi-zone system cost?

Multi-zone systems typically cost $5,000-$15,000+ in Toronto, depending on the number of zones and installation complexity. We provide free estimates.

Can I mix different types of indoor units?

Yes. Many multi-zone systems allow mixing wall-mounted, ceiling cassette, floor-mounted, and ducted indoor units — so each room gets the best solution for its layout.

Is multi-zone more efficient than central HVAC?

Multi-zone systems can be more efficient because you only condition occupied areas and inverter compressors adjust output to match demand. They’re especially efficient compared to older central systems.

“Lloyd HVAC met and exceeded my high expectations. From the office staff and owner, to the technician everybody was pleasant and helpful. My AC unit did not turn on in the spring. They were able to help provide me with the information I needed and send out a technician quickly. While the technician was here, the owner was even willing to run to the store to pick up a part for us. I highly recommend using this company.”
